WARNER CHANDIE ADDRESSES SOCIAL ISSUES IN NEW SONG

Warner Chandie, the Tumbuka bilingual star has addressed different social issues in a new song titled “Just Human” which he released on June 1st.

The song talks about issues ranging from mental health, gender based violence and corruption.

The artist said he was inspired to write such a campaign-ish song because of the situations he witnesses daily in his community.

“Abuse is never the victim’s fault, the song addresses issues about gender based violence, abuse of power, the depression the youth go through, sexual assault, and other issues I hear and witness daily in my community.” The artist said.

Warner Chandie believes music is one of the tools which can be used for mindset change especially for the youth.

“The youth and many other Malawians are not really up to check these issues in books or newspapers, but everyone loves music, so if we put such issues in music it will help communicate to many, and therefore music is a tool for mindset change.” Chandie explained.

The song features the award winning “KIM OF DIAMONDS”, and was produced by Chawa Beats.
